Back in Singapore for a few days and onward Japan with my family! I wanted to do some quick postings from Taiwan with my girls before my memory fails me.
Airport outfit from Wherescinderella!
Checked in at our super convenient hotel at Westgate Xi Men Ding and took a cab for dinner! I am so thankful for Mabs because she planned the whole itinerary for us. All we did was to tell her where we wanted to go!
Hollyhoque's RACQUEL OVERSIZED DENIM JACKET now on backorder!
The girls are frequent patrons at Singapore's collagen beauty pot and they say 無老鍋 is just like that. Only better!
The soup bases are good, they are generously immersed with herbs unlike the ones we have in Singapore. But we wished they had more ingredients variety. Nevertheless, it was a good dinner and we paid NT$650/ pax that is about S$30! You need to make a table reservation too, if you intend to dine there!

Cause there were 4 of us, we cabbed everywhere. We took a cab to Fourplay; a popular bespoke cocktail joint in Taipei. We didn't make reservations and nearly couldn't get a table. A nice waiter gave us a table but only for 30 minutes which was later extended to about 45? Haha! So on weekends, Fourplay's goes by seatings. Like 8PM and 10PM if I'm not wrong. We were there at 9.30PM. It was fun! We got to choose what kind of taste we liked and the bartender mixes for us.
The best part is to receive our very own cup; we are more excited about the presentation of our drink to the drink (I think!). And we have mabs, preferring my drink 10000X when we were in Taiwan.
The night was still young. So we took a cab to the nearest Ye Shi (night market) to us. That was Shi-Da Night Market; 師大夜市. I find it a disappointment as compared to the time I visited them years ago. There weren't many exciting shops anymore. We only bought iphone screen protectors and a crepe to share. Chris bought a jacket to keep herself warm.
We headed back to our hotel at Ximending, ended up for 1.5 hours in Watsons, where the girls went a little overboard with Taiwanese skincare. Before we called it a night at about 12am! Next day was our day trip to Cingjing and we were supposed to sleep early. There, that marks our day 1 in Taipei- fully maximised!
