Started Day 2 in Hong Kong with some photos at the hotel lobby! Arrived late the night before and couldn't capture some nice shots with the Christmas deco! :D :D Vain say vain I know! :P
Outfit was Oversized Boyfriend Shirt from Hollyhoque and my new denim jacket from Cherub Pudding! Not too sure if there are any of these cool denim left, you can try your luck! (:
First stop of the day was breakfast at Tim Ho Wan at IFC Mall!! How not to eat Tim Ho Wan Dim sum when you are in Hong Kong! I've never been to the Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong though i've traveled to Hong Kong so many times now! But because I wanted to see if there's any difference between the one we now have in Tim Ho Wan Singapore, we are there at about 9am! (:
With darling En and I!
The place was really packed, the restaurant is rather small itself too so there was a queue. Probably most or all are tourists, a lot of Singaporeans definitely. Wasn't ready to queue at the one in Singapore (thankful for Tim Ho Wan Singapore who invited me for a food tasting session!) but willing to queue the one in Hong Kong lol! "P
Small restaurant
Thankfully we didn't have to wait too long. About 30 minutes thereabout only.
Cause there was just the 3 of us, we were afraid to over order. We ordered 3 out of 4 of Tim Ho Wan's Big 4 Heavenly King Dim Sum- The Pork Buns, Steamed Egg Cake and Vermicelli Roll with Pig’s Liver!
Glutinous Rice
My favorite! So good in Singapore and so good in Hong Kong too!
Ma Lai Gao!!!- Steamed Egg Cake!
Siew Mai
Vermicelli Roll with Pig’s Liver
FAMOUS Pork Buns!
Osmanthus Cake
Conclusion. There's no difference in the Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong and the one we have in Singapore. The pork buns, glutinous rice all taste equally good! Very very aligned Tim Ho Wan that make sure they serve us nothing but the best despite the differing countries! (:
Tim Ho Wan
Shop 12A, Hong Kong Station (Podium Level 1, IFC Mall) Central
Most of the shops weren't open yet cause it was really early but Apple Store was!! This is the only store aside from Tim Ho Wan that I took pictures of! (:
So impressed!!! It's huge and they have this beautiful glass staircase!
After breakfast, we were off to Ocean Park!!!! It's also my first time to Ocean Park. I've been to Disneyland Hong Kong a couple of times now but never to Ocean Park. I have heard great reviews about this theme park and Sheila herself recommended this place! (:
Cute admission passes!
Me with Ginger!! (:
Trying to do a warrior 3 with En lol! :D
Saranghaeyo with En! (:
big fat ass shot of me! :P
Ocean Park's HUGE and we have the whole day to cover you!!
First stop was the indoor Grand Aquarium which is quite similar to the S.E.A Aquarium we have at Resorts World Sentosa!
Had to take this shot of the mother taking a shot of her child and husband! The daughter is toooo pretty!! (:
Touching of the star fish and some other fish!
Totally not knowing what to expect and boarding this train which reminds me of the train in Hunger Games where the tributes take to their locations! We after that realize that we are traveling from Ocean Park's Waterfront to the excitement at the Summit.
By Volkswagen!
En and I on board the Ocean Express Waterfront Station!!
Let's visit the Pandas at Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures! And this place is like the River Safari in Singapore! Only that you don't have to pay individual tickets just to see each attraction! It's all attractions in 1 place! (:
A lot of people trying to get a good shot of the Panda!!
The enclosure is so much friendly at Ocean Park too! We were very near to the pandas!! And there wasn't much obstructions and hindrance from taking a good shot. The one at River Safari had too many plants and trees that the pandas were blocked most of the time.
Check out the shots I took of the panda!!!!!
The panda was soooo close to me!! Super excited!! :D :D
Me looking awkward with a panda hat! (whatever you call that)
Super cute souvenirs which I should have gotten too ):
Beautiful view at Ocean Park overlooking the sea and mountains.
Walked over to the amusement park area where all the rides were at!
We took this Whirly Bird!!! Really swings HIGH!!!
Nope, refused to take The Flash ride which goes 360 degrees round, old already, heart can't take it lol!
With candy canes!! ((:
En and Kad went for this roller coaster while I waited downstairs for them lol!
Been a long time since I took bumper cars!!
Queuing for the bumper cars!
On a random lorry haha!
One of my favorite attractions is the Pacific Pier! (:
They have nice walls at Pacific Pier too! :D
We went up the Ocean Park Tower!! We went 72 metres into the air! Stunning views of the South China Sea from atop Ocean Park Tower, located 200m above sea level, where a gently rotating viewing room provides 360 degrees of sun, sea and sky. Ranked as one of the tallest observation towers in Southeast Asia, we were able to see clear to Aberdeen and the outlying islands!!
Took the cable car back this time round! (:
The queue was madness but thankfully it moved pretty fast. And it was sunny, if not we would have to wait in the cold!
With Ocean Park attractions located on two different sides of a mountain and wide swaths of sea in between, riding the Cable Car provides unprecedented views of the surrounding area, the sea, and the entire park.
i like this shot but why why my eyes closed!!!! :((
A little shaky but too fun and beautiful!! (:
Back on land of the packed Ocean Park!!
Ended with my favorite part of Ocean Park- Old Hong Kong!
Ocean Park is bringing back the culture of Hong Kong in the '50s -'70s. Visit this brand new zone to relive the early days of the territory where we grew up! Old Hong Kong will bring back the many memories of life back then, a culture that will be with us forever. Step aboard the Heritage Tram and savor the sounds and tastes of yesteryear. Be mesmerized by the colors and activities of life in Old Hong Kong on authentically recreated streets and scenes. Be a part of the past and bring home some antique souvenirs to keep the memory alive!
Pretending to be selling fruits lol!
Cobblers!!
The streets looked so real, like a scene from my favorite TVB serials! (:
