Feasting like Kings & Queens at King Louis!

Was supposed to visit The King Louis Grill and Bar sometime back but schedule didn't permit. Was glad to be finally able to be there for dinner with the family on Wednesday!! King Louis is located at Vivo City, really near to my place and Vivo is one of the most frequent shopping centre we hang out at. Located just next to Daiso, we failed to realize this gem. But hey! It's never too late!! 

Mommy's first impression of King Louis was WOW, so grand!! And sure it is! Not just the place is grand, it's also has the best view of Sentosa! Look at this!! Isn't it spectacular?

I was greeted by this huge long table when I stepped into the restaurant. At least 18 people seated and having a feast! Not just this table was filled, the restaurant was 80% filled up on a Wednesday night! I would expect restaurants to be quieter on weekdays, definitely not King Louis! (: 

I was told by Danielle, Marketing Communications Manager, that King Louis is very popular with big groups. Because they are able to hold big groups like such with their huge space, a lot of people choose King Louis for their gatherings and even parties and functions! I really hate it when my family of 19 goes to a restaurant and we have to split into 2 tables, really defeats the purpose of a gathering, huh?

They gave us a good table which overviews Sentosa! I heard that you can see fireworks from RWS on weekend!! I want to go back! (: 

The menu was EXTENSIVE! We couldn't decide on what to order and thankful for Danielle who recommended their signature dishes! (:

We ordered a starter, a salad, 2 soups and a main! Food surprisingly was served really quickly! Phew! cause I was famished!! :D :D 

This is soooo good and their MUST TRY! These banana are deep fried with bacon strips. The combination is really unique and super good. I love the sweet and salty taste (: 

Zonia who doesn't usually take bacon because it's too fatty and guilty took a piece and loved it too!! Definitely a must order if you patron King Louis okay? (:

Hearty and Healthy, this homemade butternut squash cream soup sets the tummy for a good feast! Mommy prefers the pumpkin soup as compared to the mushroom cause it's really smooth and flavorful! 

Zonia and I have always loved mushroom soups since we were growing up! This homemade cream soup with a generous mix of button and shiitake mushrooms is superb! I could bite on little pieces of mushrooms, this is shiokness! All soups come with a garlic and herb bread. P/s: Wish I could get a plate of those toasted bread!!

Danielle recommended this salad because of it's warm and cold ingredients make this salad unique. The sauce is remarkably tasty but we felt that it is a little too much. The sauce was overpowering and a little too sweet for us. If you like your salad wet like Danielle, this fresh garden salad with grilled chicken breast meat topped with teriyaki sauce and Parmesan cheese is for you!

We prefer salads that are lighter in dressing so we could taste the freshness of the greens. Will give the English Style Caesar Salad (S$12.50) a try the next time round, it's under the MUST TRY category! There's also a lobster salad (S$18.50) on the menu which was so tempting!!

We polished almost everything and waited patiently for our last and main dish!! Super excited for the Queen's Banquet! (That's what they call their main dishes!!) The platter is HUGE so it took a little more time as compared to the starters. We waited about 15 minutes from the time we finished the starters. So meanwhile, we entertained ourselves with camwhoring! (:

And my OOTD!! I was in my new favorite work dress from Hollyhoque! 

Jang!! There were 3 different platters on the Queen's Banquet menu. There was The Queen Isabelle (S$79.90) which was all meat, The Queen Matilda (S$85.80) which was just seafood and there was The Queen Victoria (S$108.50) which has best of both worlds; Meat and Seafood! All 3 platters come in 2 sizes that is for 2-3 pax and 4-5 pax. The prices I have quoted above are for the smaller sizing.

Of course, we ordered The Queen Victoria because we wanted to have a taste of both meat and seafood! The Queen Victoria is also the most popular platter at King Louis! If you intend to order other starters like we did, the smaller platter is more than enough. The 4 of us couldn't finish the platter for 2-3 pax. The portion was so generous, I think it can eat 5-6 pax!!

The ambience was really nice. There was a singer who swooned really good songs. Mommy thought it was the radio like many other patrons! The singer was King Louis's in-house singer and he sings 6 days a week from 7pm! I took the video to show you how good the place looks! (;

We really enjoyed ourselves! The starters were good, the soup was creamy and rich, the platter was HUGE, sinful and tasty and the ambience was amazing. Definitely going back again with my friends!!

Our dinner was so satisfying and full, we had to walk Vivo for 2 hours to digest the food!! So Zonia and I went shopping! ((:
