Started the day early Monday morning! Mummy booked the tickets for Taoyuan at 8.20am through the HSR (High Speed Rail) website prior to our arrival in Taiwan! We woke around 6.30 to prepare for breakfast!
Good morning Taiwan!
Zonia and I in matching tops which we got from Jiufen.
Our hotel, Cosmos Hotel was situated at Taipei Main station, akin to our City Hall! So it was really convenient for us no matter where we were heading as most of the MTR lines were available there. Even the HSR!
Mummy entering the gantry happily!
There it is, the HSR! It was really comfy, with seats similar to those on board airlines, only without the monitor and movies!
After reaching Taoyuan, we boarded a shuttle to head to a bus station, then took a cab to the Window on China Theme Park! 小人国
Xiao Ren Guo Zhu Ti Le Yuan
We were so excited upon entering the theme park and started snapping pictures!
look at all the miniatures behind me! (Mummy was busy snapping pictures for Daddy!)
Zonia was feeling really cold, the temperature was about 13-15deg that day!
SOOOO cute right! Look at the mini "river/lake/sea/reservoir" with all the boats and ships!
They even had little planes! So cute!
weeee so lil!
for good luck!
there's a lil toilet bowl in the toilet!
i like this! mini amusement park!
On one of the rides in the theme park!
Daddy and Zonia trying to be funny..
Leaning Tower of Pisa!
And some of the others! ((:
Cinderella Carousel and the omg scary ride which we didnt even dare to try!
We headed over to Ximending at night to shop and nomnomnom! We settled for the basement food court at this building! FE21'!
Look at the humongous portion!!!
I decided on Mee Sua and Chicken for dinner! Idk why but i had cravings for meesua then!! :D
The "Bimbimbap" that looked different from what most food courts in Singapore would offer! hahaa! tasted not bad tho!
Daddy's Gong Bao Chicken which was really spicy!
Daddy's and my meal together with a portion of Vegetable which came together!
Walked around Ximending area after that!
Stopped by this roadside street stall where Zonia bought a jacket (Daddy paid tho!)
Zonia and her new jacket! Her head is really big lor, looks like a mushroom in this picture!
How i wish we had such big portion of Yakult available in Singapore!
Lai Er Fu Bian Li Shang Dian
Came across this dessert stall specialising in Almond tofu!
This was what Zonia and I ordered to share! Almond shaved ice! We could choose three toppings too! Below the shaved ice, something like our Ice Kachang! IT WAS REALLY YUMMY!
Our satisfied faces :D
Our buys over the past 3days only!
Zonia and I bought identical boots!
Taiwan- Day 4
Managed to sleep in later on Day 4! Woke around 8plus and headed for breakfast! :D
Outfit for day 4 in Taiwan!
Yummy! Porridge was my daily breakfast during my stay in Taiwan!
Zonia and my favourite! Toasted bread with butter and sugar!
Took the MTR to Taipei City Hall where Taipei 101 is situated!
It was really convenient as there was a shuttle bus that took us from the Taipei City Hall to Taipei 101 building! :D
The tall and pretty Tiffany and Co X'mas tree! (:
The building was full of Tiffany and Co decorations :D
The interior of the mall!
Took the lift to the ticket counter at Level 5 as we wanted to get tickets to go up to the Observatory deck! There was a really really really long queue!
BUT, due to rain conditions that day, the outdoor observatory deck on the 89th floor was closed. :( So we decided to skip it!
But of course, pictures before we leave the building of one of Taipei's main attraction!
Huge Samantha Thavasa store!
Waited for the shuttle bus to head back to the MRT Station!
There it is!
We then took the train to HouShanPi to head to Wufenpu garment wholesale centre! All my friends were telling me to go there as its Taipei's Bugis Street! ONLY BIGGER!
Hou Shan Pi Zhan
Just 100m away from the exit of the MTR station!
But most stores were only selling clothes suitable for winter... not suitable for wear in Sg! (It's okay, I never wanted to buy clothes overseas though. :D)
There were really many varieties of clothes! Guys, Girls, different styles!
Zonia browsing through some of the racks!
So many pretty and cheap boots! but of no use when we head back!
Bought a small bowl of meesua from this stall to try! Yummy, but we prefer it without the intestines!
Daddy and Meimei!
Settled at this place for lunch but damn, worst decision ever. They had this minimum order for EACH person. Meaning every single person had to order, no sharing. What logic!?
dont visit ever!
Zonia bought these to try! No matter where we went in Taipei, she bought them once she saw them! really cheap!
Left Wufenpu and headed to Zhongxiao Fuxing's Sogo as there was a Din Tai Fung restaurant there!
Such a familiar sight, almost like Singapore!
Crowded as usual!
Ordered two of my must-order whenever I visit Din Tai Fung! XIAO CAI!
Zha Jang Mian!
Mummy mixing it for Papa!
Xiao Long Bao! :D
Cutlet with fried rice! My parents love to order this when in Sg. :D
more peppery there!
The identical cases Zonia and I got together, from Ximending!
Walked to Kun Ming Street from Ximending station for some massage!
Settled for this! All of us did foot massage while Papa did the body massage for 2hours! We waited for an hour for him, patiently :D
Reached the hotel at Midnight and turned in for the night!! Stay tuned for Days 5 and 6!
