Qi's 21st birthday!

Its another girlfriend's 21st birthday!
Slowly and surely, we are all turning 21.

I still remember us meeting each other almost every day when we were in secondary school. We spent almost every hour together. Be it during lessons, recesses and after classes. Even when we were posted into different classes as we were promoted to the next level, we still found time for one another. Sometimes, i would ponder some what ifs.

1. What if we weren't in the same secondary 1 class. 
2. What if we didn't choose that particular seat during our first day of school. (Since you usually become team mates with those nearer to you)
3. What if we decided to join another group when we were told to form groups. 

I remember how i distanced from this group when I was in secondary 4. I had a new clique of friends whom we studied the Os together. Nobody really brought this up, but there are still tinge of regrets I didn't spend my graduation night with them. I remember myself in this chalet that I didn't really enjoy and looking through the pictures of my girlies having fun by the river. I bet non of them knew this secret that I've kept till now. How many years had it been? Has it been 5 years? Yes, 5 years.

As we all say, there's no point in hanging on to the past cause it won't help bring us forward. There's just this much I live by this phrase because its the past that makes us remember not to make these mistakes again.

I'm sure most of us have met new friends as we grow older. Sometimes, we distance from old friends for the new friends. But time tells, and we always return to where we were. It's friendship when you know you can always walk over to them again, and they are always there; with open arms.
For this, the girls of Purink, I love every single on of you. And like in the birthday cards I've always penned, there will be more of such birthdays we would spend together.
