Retna has been raving how good this Handle Bar place is.
So for a welcome party for me and a new fellow colleague, Retna booked a table for us on Friday night.
So it is,
The Handle Bar, Beer Butt Chicken after work! Yummy!
S and I headed there after our appointment to be greeted with a freaking hot alfresco dining concept chilling place.
The sun was scorching hot, hit hard on us!
We found the shadiest place we could find and unloaded our loads, whipped out our cameras and started snapping the area! (Our first times to The Handle Bar though we stay probably less than 10 minutes away! We never knew this place existed!)
Motorcycle themed chilling place, that explains the cool motorcycle/accessories displays.
The waitresses were dressed down to suit the theme as well. Not bad ah, wear shorts and singlets to work! Hahahaha!
The seating capacity is really limited, so you gotta be either early if you want to catch dinner over drinks.
or really late just for some cold beer when diners already left. Definitely need a phone reservation for tables if you are going down in a group!
S and I went through the Menu for some cold relieves while waiting for the rest to come.
Read the descriptions of the food!
S's Gin original
Lychee martini for the lady!
It was realllyyyyyy realllyyy warm that i had to dig for hair clips and rubberbands!
S insisted on the below.... -.-
Embarrassing for there were quite a bit of patrons strolling in already!!!!
And so here was when this picture was taken.
It turned out quite well and he said he deserves ALOT of credit and argued that i was lucky he insisted on having this picture taken!
The team finally arrived!
Retna in charged of ordering!
Food was prompt!!!
The top picture is actually fried onions!!!
Really really good combi with mayonnaise!
We also got some pizzas to share (:
The pizzas comes with Onions and Cheese, an additional topping is up to you.
They have about 10 toppings to choose from, such as minced beef which we got.
Chilli cheese fries which was so-so.
mashed potato and dressing for the beer butt chicken!!!
Check out the below picture!
The chicken that we all came for!
As the name says,
Beer Butt Chicken!
The beer bottle stucked up the chicken's ass. Hahahaha!
(I think its a tiger beer if you were wondering!)
This time, not just S and I took pictures,
the other guys took out their phones too!!

I told S i am going to take a picture with this earlier when we arrived.
It was sooo hot then, that i couldnt bring myself to sit on it! Haha!
Taken with S's camera. Beauty mode-less for those who wants to see my real complexion (:
The guys were raving how good the toilet looked.
Sooo Retna and I went, with S and mine cameras!
Hahaha!
im holding a pistol!
A and I trying to get a cab!!!
Left at around 10 P.M. ...
And till 10.30, we haven got a cab!
A and I trying to get a cab!!!
Even calling the hotlines were unsuccessful! We get cut off cause of high volume on a Friday night!
"An unassuming little biker bar off Alexander Road, Handle Bar resembles one of those highway stops you often see in American road-trip movies. Given its ramshackle surroundings made out of used motorcycle parts, it’s not surprising that beer – dispensed from contraptions that look like recycled engines – is its clientele’s booze of choice ($24 for a jug of Heineken). And what goes better with beer than spicy chicken wings ($10 for six pieces)? And oh, while you are loading up, get your precious ride a good wash and polish for $30."
Our bill added up to about $200 for a table of 6.
For those who are interested to give this place a try, here's the address (:
